For undiagnosed children and young people, life can be challenging. It can seem upsetting, confusing and difficult to navigate. A diagnosis ensures that the child or young person knows they are not alone in how they feel and helps them to understand themselves better. It also ensures that the adults around them – parents, teachers and other professionals – can become better equipped to support their needs.
Autism is not an illness or a disease. It cannot be cured. But this does not have to hold people with ASD back. Autism is a spectrum and so each individual is different, is unique. The support one person with autism needs will be different from that of another. A quick Google will list lots of people with autism who have achieved highly in their chosen fields – acting, music, science, business, sport, etc. There are many positives to having autism and it’s important to recognise this as early as possible to ensure the right support is in place.
A diagnosis and report from Rosily May takes as little as 6 weeks and includes bespoke recommendations to ensure each individual gets the tailored support they need. Since we care greatly about the future success of each young person we work with, we also offer the option to have our senior diagnostic assessor meet with the SENDCO at the young person’s school or college to share the recommendations and provide guidance and support.
Our ASD assessments are completed using a multi-disciplinary approach, using gold-standard ASD diagnostic tools and following NICE guidelines.
While most companies offering private ASD assessment services charge between £2500 and £3000, we are offering our full diagnostic package for £2000. This includes a detailed report with recommendations for schools/colleges and a meeting with the SENDCO and key staff involved in your child's care if required. We hope that our reasonable pricing structure for this complex work reflects how much we care for the needs of children and young people with currently undiagnosed ASD.
